Is My Sexiness Too Much For You?

IS IT!?!?

There's a rumor about a Friends reunion SEASON, but this is according to less than reputable sources. I'll believe it when the Kickstarter activates, and not a moment sooner!

Interview: January Jones's Fat Suit

With the return of 'Fat Betty' Francis on last night's Mad Men, Tableau Your Mind sat down with January Jones's Fat Suit for a quick conversation on working with the Emmy-nominated actress, her previous vaulted career work, and what's next for her character on AMC's hit show.

Tableau: It's really an honor to sit down with you. It's been great seeing your work on Mad Men this season.
Fat Suit: Thank you, It's been a pleasure working with such amazing actors like Jon Hamm and Kiernan Shipka.

T: And January Jones?
FS: Sure, why not? You know, one thing I will say is that, usually, actresses get really hot when they're in me and tend to complain. With January, she never overheated. If anything, she got colder. I also loved the work we did in my second episode in that scene with Jessica

Cougar Town Lives!

Cougar Town is moving to TBS next season! TBS is known for being very funny, and Cougar Town is also VERY FUNNY. Thus, it makes total sense! I was already preemptively sobbing into my Penny Can, worried about cancellation, so I am happy that my tears we unnecessary! Whoo!

Now, about that name... Can it be changed now that Cougsville is on the move? Does anyone have any viable suggestions?

Scream 4: Looking Back

Tomorrow marks the release of Scream 4, and to say that I am excited is a gross understatement. I am not particularly fond of scary movies (and especially not the torture-porn gross fests of recent years), but the Scream franchise is always a favorite of mine. Firstly, it’s incredibly meta and self-referencing. One of my least favorite things in scary movies is when characters act as though they’ve never heard of a scary movie before in their lives, and it’s exhausting. If anything, the characters in Scream know way too much about scary movies and talk about slasher movies as if everyone is watching them, all the time. They know the conventions of killers, yet they still fall into their traps. Death, it seems, is inevitable.
Who will the killers be this time?
Scream movies are also a cut above the rest by being ball-droppingly hilarious. Half of the characters are in the films for comedic effect, and usually the jokes land (except for in the not funny, not good, but not terrible Scream 3).  Scream again succeeds by having very human killers. The stabbers in Scream don’t attack you in your nightmares or trap you in a room and force you to chop off your own limbs. No, they just run at you with a knife, occasionally tripping over an ottoman or falling prey to a well-aimed freezer door.  These aren’t the killers of dreams, these are just regular serial killers, which makes them all the more frightening.

What really makes these movies interesting is the characters, who are interesting, vital, and (though often ultimately dead) feel very much alive. So, in an effort to still my beating heart (beating in fear and anticipation), I will attempt to look back and rank all of the characters in the Scream franchise. It’s incredibly subjective, so I look forward to your dissension in the comments [Major Spoilers Ahead]:

Hollywood Couples We Root For

With Hollywood couples breaking up and hooking up at lightning speed, it’s difficult to get one’s hopes up about true love. It seems almost impossible to just date over in Tinsel Town, and it’s even harder in Los Angeles (many Tinsel Town relationships are ruined by roving bands of elves). Every relationship is under intense scrutiny, and famous people are forced into serious relationships very quickly. Occasionally, though, a couple seems destined to make it. Here are the couples we here at Tableau Your Mind are pulling for. They will probably split up in a week.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard - As with most couples on this list, they are low key and mostly off the radar. Probably due to being New York Celebrities, Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard - or SarsHaal (Gyl-gaard? Sarsenhaard?) - live in relative anonymity. They are such a slow-burn couple that they almost veer into boring (Timberlake and Biel, anyone), but stay adorable due to their general likeability and air of Bohemian lifestyle. And that lifestyle thankfully never veers into Boho-Chic, a phrase I know only because of my unending fascination with Mary-Kate and Ashley, formerly of the Olsen Twins.
