365 Days, 365 Movies: August

Julia Roberts: A Profile
August was quite a crazy month for me, both personally and professionally, but I managed to sneak in 31 movies in as many days. (How do I do it!?) Due to my hectic schedule, I once again ended the month without a theme. I started on August 1 with My Best Friend's Wedding, a rom-com I love more than my children, and thought that it might start a month of Romantic Comedies or Julia Roberts movies or Cameron Diaz vehicles. As you'll see from my list below, that didn't happen  I did eventually watch another Dermot Mulroney movie and another Diaz movie, so I guess that counts for something. I also ended up going to the theater a lot in August, which resulted in a higher-than-average number of New Releases.

Hit or Miss: Quick Movie Reviews 8: 4th of July Edition

You guys! Here in America, it's Independence Day, which means it's time to celebrate 'Merica the only way we know how: drinking too much, eating a variety of meats, prank-calling anyone named Tim Howard, and spending a long weekend watching movies. And since you can't spend this whole weekend in a cinema, I'mma tell you which ones to HIT the theater to see, and which ones you can MISS:

Parks and Recreation: Leslie Knope 2012!

On Thursday’s Parks and Recreation, we saw the awesomeness that was a Leslie Knope political campaign commercial (Knope 2012!).

Turns out, Leslie hates attack ads so much that she makes the most 'pro' commercial the world has ever seen.

It was so amazing that we here at Tableau Your Mind wanted to show you the full list of things Leslie is ‘pro’ and point out some of the many great jokes. There is a lot here for fans of the show, from Leslie's hatred of libraries to the well-documented raccoon problem. After the jump, check out all 123 of Leslie’s pros and try to figure out how she can accomplish all of this in one term (we believe in her).
