Guilty Pleasures are No Longer Guilty!
Often my tastes are described as indiscriminate. I will watch basically anything, regardless of personal enjoyment. And sometimes I love movies and TV shows that are considered less than critically lauded. And I hide that love, and pretend I hate movies like Miss Congeniality and totally love Casablanca (not that I hate it, I just haven't seen it). But no more will I hide in shame! A regular reader of the blog I Don't Feel Bad About It, I finally want to tell everyone my innermost desires without shame. So it is with clear eyes and a full heart (can't lose!), I am happy to say that I really want to see the critically panned and ridiculous looking...

Literal Lyrics: Katy Perry Edition #1
So many songs have awful, badly worded lyrics. Lyrics filled with confusing metaphors, misplaced modifiers, and odd professions of love. And some singers are worse offenders than others. So, from time to time, we will post a Literal Lyric interpretation, and let people figure out what the terrible (or just strange) lyrics are. First up is Katy Perry, a singer with more questionable lyrics in her songs than good:

Goodbye, Greek Part 2
[Spoiler Alert]
So the end of Greek saw the end of the Kappa Tau house, but the show lives on 'past houses, past college.' Many people turn up to say goodbye, and Rusty finally gains the confidence he so desperately needs. Ashleigh finally grows a pair and confesses her true feelings to Rusty (WHAT?!) and they have an ending that is as adorable and twee as it seems. Harry Plotter: Movie 1
When Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone hit movie theaters around the world, audiences were expecting a lot. Four of the books had already been released, and the series was only gaining in popularity. Stakes were high, which is why it's such a disappointment how much of a turd this film turned out to be.

Please, Chris Columbus, don't kill the franchise! It's just a baby! |

Harry Plotter: Book 1
As I wrote previously, I will be going through the Harry Potter series one book and movie at a time. First up: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (or Philosopher’s Stone, but I’m going to go with the American translation for continuity). My quest in this is to better understand the books and their relations to the film, as well as exploring the omissions of certain facts and events in the films, both good and bad. Spoilers ahead.

Goodbye Black History Month, Hello Women's History Month
Black History Month has come and gone, and it is now Women's History Month, or, rather, Womyn's Her-story Month. So remember to celebrate the womyn who have made the world what it is today, womyn like Joan of Arc, Eleanor Roosevelt, Smurfette, Harriet Tubman, Margaret Thatcher, Marie Curie, Indira Gandhi, and Julia Roberts.
And, like Marky Mark once said, say hi to your mother for me.
